Grand Rapids Jaycees Santa Claus Parade, 10 am on November 22 in downtown Grand Rapids

A 100-year-old tradition, the Santa Claus Parade brings thousands of spectators into the heart of the city to usher in the holiday season. The parade will feature nearly 80 parade entries, including floats, giant helium balloons and marching bands.

Third Annual Gingerbread Village, December 4 – 7 in Caro

Activities include gingerbread house competitions for all ages, baking competitions, a fun run and activities that vary from year to year.

Ionia Christmas Parade, 6:30 pm on December 5 in downtown Ionia

The 31st Annual Main Street Electric Christmas Parade will begin at the courthouse and proceed west down Main Street, ending at M-66.

Christmas Walk and Santa Visit, 6 – 9 pm on December 5 in Newaygo

The Christmas Walk provides a traditional small town Christmas experience with horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers and chances to visit merchants along Main Street. Compliments of Independent Bank, children are invited to have their photo taken with Santa and enjoy refreshments inside the Bank.

Christmas in the Village, 10 am – 11:30 pm on December 6 in Cass City

Sponsored by Independent Bank, this event includes a craft show, town-wide chili cook-off, carriage rides, lighted Christmas parade and a community gathering at the VFW featuring free bean soup and hot chocolate, a Christmas carol sing-a-long, gifts and free pictures with Santa.

Santa Visit, 10 am – noon on December 6 at the Independent Bank in Carson City

Children are invited to have their photo taken with Santa and enjoy refreshments, compliments of Independent Bank. Children can also mail their letter to the North Pole by placing it in Santa’s mailbox in front of the banking office.

White Lake Christmas Parade, 2 pm on December 6 in Whitehall

More than 100 holiday-themed parade entries travel from Whitehall to Montague during this annual Christmas parade.

Grand Haven Jingle Bell Parade, 6 pm on December 6 in Grand Haven

This popular annual event features lighted parade entries and an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus. After the parade makes its way through downtown Grand Haven, spectators are invited to gather in Central Park to view the lighting of the Christmas tree and enjoy hot chocolate provided by the Salvation Army.

Christmas in Caseville, December 6 in Caseville

This event features a lunch with Santa, giveaways, community singing, a tour of local decorated homes and a free movie for children at the local theater.
